Owl & Hunting Scenes Plate

This is a very nice plate made by Meissen in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a superb owl scene in the center with the bird standing on some grasses on an outcrop with some greenery behind it. The rest of the well of the plate has some gold flowers scattered around and a gold trim to the edge of the well. The rim has a superb design to it of a hand pained all around scene including hunters on horses - one shooting a deer - as well as two deer all in that ammazing landscape surrounding including water, rocks and trees. Simple gold trim to the edge. A really nice looking plate! The piece is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as an impressed number 8. There has been porcelain scraped away from the area under the mark because it had sagged a bit but the mark was then applied above that and under the glaze so that is all correct. Just pointing it out so no one freaks out about it later. The plate is in superb condition and is 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.375 inches.
